Living Hope Stories
Nick and Nicole
The feeling we got when we first attended Living Hope Church was one of warmth and welcome. We instantly felt at home. Everyone was so personable and they really seemed to care.
We have been attending now for almost a year and we love it.
Pastor Dave is awesome; he is a man after God’s heart.
His sermons are excellent. They are delivered in a way that is clear, concise and with much depth. We have yet to walk out the doors on a Sunday morning without feeling inspired in some way.
God is very much at work in our church. We feel very blessed to be a part of it.

Living Hope Church has been one of the greatest blessings in my life! Most of my closest friends are those that I have met through the church. I started attending Living Hope Church when I was in Kindergarten, and believe it or not, most of my friends today are the same kids I went to Sunday school with. As a child I felt I received wonderful care and a great education through my Sunday school classes. As I grew up and moved on to Middle and High School I began attending the youth group. Some of my fondest memories of that period in my life are Wednesday night Bible Study and some of the fun trips and experiences I had there. After graduation, as I moved into adulthood I found it very easy to integrate into the adult life of the church. I became much closer with some of the older members of the church, and found that even though there was an age gap we certainly have things in common. As I got married this past summer it was so nice to have so much support from all of the church members. For my bridal shower, all of the ladies got together and threw me a lovely party that I will never forget!! Now, as a newlywed, it is so nice to have other newlywed couples joining the church that my husband and I can socialize with. I have found that it really strengthens our relationship with Christ and with each other to have the support of other believers so impressing on our lives. I have never felt so much a part of something as I do Living Hope Church. My family and I have been so pleased with what our church has to offer, and the opportunities we are given to give back to the church and serve the Lord. I look forward to many more wonderful years at Living Hope Church and to raising our family here.

What has our AWSOME GOD done for me? I never really grew up in a Christian home. We went to church on occasion. I always believed in him and never doubted what Jesus Christ did for us, however he was never number one in my life. It was always about me. My husband and I lived in California for 10 plus years and figured it was probably time to look for a church so our kids could get familiar with God. I grew up Methodist and my husband was Nazarene. But we couldn’t find a church that fit us after multiple attempts. My husband ended up getting laid off and after three months found a job here in Eugene. The next thing you know we’re being asked to come and visit Living Hope Church and now 4 years later we have just recently been baptized and on our way to becoming members! I strongly believe that God guided our path here. We have become much closer to the Lord at a time when we needed him most. As I share my story with you, our family is going through tremendous stress and change. The Holy Spirit has been guiding me in finding the resources to handle our situation now and in the future. Not only that but he has gently pushed me to open up our troubles to our church family and our bible study group. I have never felt so much love, support, and concern. I have also developed and continue to develop deep lasting friendships. Come in one Sunday morning and I guarantee you will be welcomed with smiles and a “Good Morning, How are you?” If you don’t return for a few weeks, that’s OK because when you do come back you will be welcomed again as if you never left!
