There is a lot of talk today about the problem of low self-esteem. But what about the problem of high self-esteem (aka “pride”). Pride can mess up a lot of things in life. Watched “The Day the Earth Stood Still” last night on DVD. This is a remake that just came out about a year ago. The movie had an interesting premise that really made me think.

I had a pesky fly wake me up about 6:30 this morning flying around my bedroom. I got up to try to kill it (having been inspired by our president’s adept demonstration of reflexs this week) but was unsuccessful. I saw the fly later on banging into the window trying to get out. I was reminded that many insects are drawn to the light.
