What a great service this Easter morning. The highlight for me was seeing six people baptized. One young man (Rhet) was especially meaningful to me. Rhet “visited” our church for the first time about a month ago. His visit was a little unusual in that Rhet and his girlfriend were homeless and they slept under a covered space at our church.

After our last song, those of us who were leading sensed that God wanted to do something more. We opened it up for any of the students to share. The first young woman expressed a sense that God was calling her to be a missionary. Others followed sharing deep hurts and struggles.

After a message about the healing power of God some of who felt called to pray, were going to make ourselves available to pray for physical, spiritual, emotional, and relational healing. I don’t feel especially gifted in the area healing prayer. Wondering if we were doing more harm than good if nobody was healed, I questioned whether we should be having this prayer time.
