God Moving Among Our Teens.
I had the opportunity last month to spend 4 days with some of our youth group students at Teen Camp. Nine of them joined with about 20 others at Aldersgate Christian Camp for a time of fun, connecting, and spiritual growth. I served as a cabin leader for a great group of young men.
For me the highlight of the week was after one of the evening teaching times when we were wrapping things up with a couple of worship songs. After our last song, those of us who were leading sensed that God wanted to do something more. We opened it up for any of the students to share. The first young woman expressed a sense that God was calling her to be a missionary. Others followed sharing deep hurts and struggles. I was overwhelmed with the issues these young men and women were dealing with. Several had lost parents in recent years. Others had been abused. Still others were struggling with living out their faith. After each person shared, other students would gathered around and pray passionately for them. This went on for an hour and half. Many of the students experience God’s presence that night and I pray that it will not be the last time.

I was fortunate enough to be one of the teens who attended the camp and words don’t even describe what it was like to have God show up and be able to help soothe past hurts, give promises for the future, and help deal with things happening at the present time. I know that as I shared some of the things happening in my life I felt Gods presence and was overjoyed to see God working in other kids lives in small but amazing ways
