Healing Service
There are times I come into Sunday Morning not knowing what to expect. For me, the success of our gathering is not so much about the efforts of myself or the worship team, for our feeble efforts can do little to bring about the spiritual transformation. God has to do something significant in the lives of people. In fact, there have been times when I had a great message and the music was awesome but nothing significant seemed to be experienced by those gathered together. Maybe that is why I am led to pray the same prayer every Sunday morning. It goes something like this, “God, don’t let anyone leave this place without having been touched by you in some significant way.”
This past Sunday I felt unprepared for what we were going to do. After a message about the healing power of God some of who felt called to pray, were going to make ourselves available to pray for physical, spiritual, emotional, and relational healing. I don’t feel especially gifted in the area healing prayer. Wondering if we were doing more harm than good if nobody was healed, I questioned whether we should be having this prayer time. But it had become clear to me that this is what we were supposed to do and that we needed to leave the results up to God.
I was overwhelmed by the response and the depth of need for hope in those I prayed with. I don’t know if anyone experienced a physical healing, but it seemed that many experienced a peace and hope for the situations they face. Did God touch you? Leave a comment in this blog.

Before you called for alter call, I kept asking the Holy Spirit to fill His presence in this sauntuary. As the time started and we sat to wait on what the Lord would need us for I kept praying until someone came up for us to pray with them. It was such an honor to pray for our Brothers and Sisters. From the first prayer on, the needs kept pouring out. I was in awe of the power of the Holy Spirit moving. It was a great blessing.
